ExploringI evaluate founders with a builder's eye. I've written the code, found the first users and raised the money, so I know which parts of a pitch are hard to fake.
As an angel investor and Venture Capitalist Fellow at Hustle Fund, I evaluate and back early-stage founders, assess market opportunities and support teams from first product to scale.
My focus is technology applied to traditional industries and underserved markets, particularly where the UK, US and African economies meet.
Can they ship, and do they learn faster than the market moves?
Is it overlooked rather than small? Underserved markets often hide large demand.
Will the product and operations hold up at ten times the users?
Fifteen years of building software, four companies founded, and an angel investor and VC Fellow backing other founders.

I solve complex problems where technology, institutions and people meet. I'm a technology entrepreneur, software engineer and investor with more than 15 years of experience building products and leading engineering teams. Along the way I've delivered critical projects for JP Morgan, Shell, Bank of America and Publicis Sapient.
Today my main focus is FaithCircle, a Christian community platform used in more than 100 countries, and FaithCircle Ministry Hub, which gives churches digital tools to run their communities. Before that I founded SimplyFastFood and grew it to more than 100,000 users.
I'm also an angel investor and a Venture Capitalist Fellow at Hustle Fund, evaluating and backing early-stage founders across the UK, US and Africa.

My faith is an important part of who I am. It shapes how I build, how I invest and how I treat the people I work with.
Overlooked markets are often large ones. Technology and better operations can open real opportunities in traditional industries.
I want to create businesses with lasting commercial and social value, and to use my experience to help other founders do the same.
I help institutions, organisations and founders solve problems that sit between technology, people and systems, and I stay through to delivery.
Understand the real problem and the people living inside it, before choosing any solution.
Shape the model, the incentives and the governance, not just the software.
Ship something real quickly, then learn from how people actually use it.
Put the operations, partnerships and funding in place so it lasts.
A clear view of the problem, the options and a practical plan, tested with the people it affects.
Modernising how an organisation runs, from systems and data to the way teams work.
Designing and launching a new product, service or initiative from first idea to first users.
Services and programmes that need to reach people at scale.
Organisations ready to modernise how they serve their communities.
Initiatives in financial inclusion, agriculture and community.
Building or backing companies in overlooked markets.

Tell me about the problem you're facing, who it affects and what you've tried so far. I take on a small number of advisory engagements at a time.

You don't have to do faith alone. A social app where Christians make friends and build faith habits together.
Plenty of apps help Christians read the Bible or build habits. Very few help them find Christian friends. FaithCircle puts friendship first and builds faith habits around it.
Ministry Hub gives churches and ministries digital tools to manage their communities, services, communications and giving, across multiple branches.
The app runs on Kotlin Multiplatform, with SwiftUI on iOS and Jetpack Compose on Android. Chat is built local-first, so messages keep working on unreliable networks and sync when the connection returns.
I've written the code, found the first users and raised the money. That's the lens I bring to every founder I meet.

Agriculture, logistics and services, where operational efficiency and new business models can unlock large markets.
Businesses that connect these markets, or that bring proven models to places they haven't reached yet.
I'm also interested in public markets and in building a diversified, long-term portfolio of businesses and assets.
